Names: Amanda & Sam
Wedding Date: 21st of September, 2019

Proposal Story:
I was pregnant with my daughter at the time, and Sam took me for a day out to the picturesque Montville. We decided to go for an easy rainforest bushwalk after lunch. We stopped on a little bridge and Sam started to tell me how much he loved me, then he was down on one knee! I let out a nervous giggle and said yes! He really caught me by surprise with it haha. That was seven years ago, we finally did it!

Amanda’s highlight of the day:

Seeing the smile on Sam’s face when I was walking down the aisle and taking his hands to start the ceremony, then that moment of becoming husband and wife. Pure happiness!

Sam’s highlight of the day:

My highlight of the day was watching Amanda walk down that aisle. She looked absolutely beautiful in her wedding dress. I could see everyone admiring her as she walked down, smiling at me. I was completely mesmerised by the sight of her.

Why did you choose Beerwah Hideaway for your wedding:
Friends of ours got married there and recommended it.
We fell in love with the tranquil rainforest setting as soon as we arrived, and knew that it would be the perfect venue for our special day. From the beautiful garden chapel, to the elegantly set out function room, we just couldn’t go past it. The staff were so helpful and easy going too, made us feel completely at ease and comfortable at every meeting and on the day.
The wedding package was at such a good price too compared to others we had looked into.

Describe your theme for the day:

Rustic classic, with a touch of boho.

Tips or words of wisdom for future brides/grooms-to-be:

Amanda –
Try to take in every moment and enjoy it as it is over with so quickly. Let people help you as much as possible, that’s what they’re there for. Also take the time to eat, it’s a big day and you will need the energy.

Sam –
Find something comfortable that you like, it’s your choice and you only get to make it once.
Dress for the weather, not just the wedding – it could be a hot day, so think about how you will be wearing your suit after the ceremony.
Don’t have things in your pockets at the ceremony, you don’t want photos to show your phone or wallet in your pockets.
