Proposal Story

We were away for our 4 year anniversary, and Jared had a plan to tie the ring to our dogs collar down at the beach and propose. Unfortunately we got to where we were staying pretty late at night, so he chucked the ring box at me instead and said “here you go” while I was sitting on the couch…hahaha.

Why did you choose Beerwah Hideaway for your special day:

It was the first and only place we looked at, and we loved it instantly! All of the staff we spoke to on an open day were super friendly and helpful, and we especially loved the big tree wrapped in fairy lights in the garden!

Describe your theme for the day:

Greenery, copper and lights (fairy lights and candles) was all I really had in mind when planning. We just wanted it to be simple, but still stunning!

The bride’s highlight of the day:

The highlight of the day for me was seeing everything come together so beautifully, and having all of our family and friends together after all the planning. All of our guests loved the day, so that was awesome to hear as well.

The groom’s highlight of the day:

The highlight of the day would of been seeing my beautiful wife come down the aisle!

Tips or words of wisdom for future brides/grooms-to-be:

I know it’s easier said than done, but really just try to go with the flow. It’s less stressful than making sure every little detail is perfect, especially if it’s things that are out of your control. It’s your day, and as long as it’s perfect for you and your partner, that’s all that matters.

Also, to the brides, go dress shopping by yourself. The friends I went shopping with were great, but a lot of the time I heard people swayed by what their family and friends said about a dress they loved. I went by myself the day I picked my dress, and it was just good to know that I picked the dress for myself, and didn’t let anyone’s opinion possibly talk me out of it.
