Names: Nicole & Tony Alchin

Proposal Story

It was just before Christmas in 2016 when Tony had planned a romantic day out. We went for a drive up the range in Maleny and Montville, and we stopped at the Montville lookout for a picnic – that’s when he proposed.

Why did you choose Beerwah Hideaway for your special day:

We had seen that a family friend got married there, and we fell in love with the amazing gardens and beautiful reception area. We loved how everything could be in the one place and that there were so many locations onsite for photos.

Describe your theme for the day:

I suppose our theme was more of a rustic/greenery theme but still formal with a hint of glamour ahaha.

The bride’s highlight of the day:

The highlight for me was seeing how beautiful the ceremony was set up. Nothing will compare to that moment when I walked down the gravel path from the deck area with my heart beating out of my chest, and to just see Tony standing underneath the most beautiful arbour. That’s when the nerves stopped because I was about to marry my true love. I think because we got to see the reception all set up the day prior, but we didn’t see the ceremony set up until the big day, it made it all the more special.

The groom’s highlight of the day:

My highlight of my day was marrying the girl of my dreams at such a beautiful place. Just seeing her walk down the aisle was the best thing.

Tips or words of wisdom for future brides/grooms-to-be:

Make sure you are happy with all your choices in advance, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy your special day. The day goes so fast, so enjoy every moment!
